History

The Japanese Course at Nagoya Management and Accounting College was established in 2010 as an affiliated Japanese language school of Nagoya Management and Accounting College (founded in 1986), operated by the Ozu Scholarship Foundation. Our institution has been educating international students for over 30 years, since welcoming the first students from Thailand and China into our specialized courses in 1990. While the entire school is committed to Japanese language education and career development for international students, the Japanese Course in particular focuses on students who wish to advance to vocational schools and similar institutions, fostering the language skills and cultural understanding essential for study and daily life, and nurturing their ability to take the next step.

In 2026, marking the 40th anniversary of the college’s founding, the Japanese Course was officially certified by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) as an Accredited Japanese Language Education Institution.

Features (from October 2026)

In preparation for opening as a Certified Japanese Language Education Institution in October 2026, our school will introduce a new curriculum.

We provide education based on the action-oriented approach, aiming to develop Japanese language proficiency that can be used in real-life and academic settings. Through tasks that simulate actual situations in which Japanese is used, learners progressively acquire the ability to “speak → understand → use.”

The curriculum is structured around goal-based learning in three-month terms and is aligned with the Japanese Language Education Reference Framework, covering levels from A1 to B2.

Classes center on “Integrated Japanese,” which holistically develops the five skills—listening, reading, spoken interaction, spoken production, and writing—through practical language activities. In addition, we incorporate a continuous learning cycle in which lessons are reviewed and improved based on learners’ achievement of the set goals.

By graduation, students aim to reach the B2 level, acquiring the Japanese proficiency necessary for advancement to vocational schools and higher education, including the ability to understand complex content and communicate naturally and effectively.
